Kim has over 15 years’ experience managing training programs. She is responsible for execution of the global service training program by partnering with the field management team and the training team to make sure the global training demand are met. Kim also specializes in Learning Management Systems & Competency System implementation.


Sven Riedel

DARMSTADT, Germany

Sven obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Heidelberg, he has over 20 years of experience in the field of Mass Spectrometry. He has been an Application Specialist and Head of Service before joining Sciex. Currently he is working as a senior staff specialist and located at the Darmstadt Training facility.

Tauseef Hemayet

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts

Tauseef specializes in creating and maintaining online instructional content. He works with Subject Matter Experts to identify what the learners need and develop objectives. He also maintains and supports the learning management system. Tauseef has 3 years experience working in university - higher education field developing interactive elarning and video modules.


Matthew Baldwin

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts

Matt earned his B.Eng(Hons) degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester. Matt has over 17 years’ experience working with Mass Spectrometry. He started out at Micromass UK in the factory as a Systems Test & Installation Engineer on MALDI products and later became a Systems Test & Installation Supervisor on Q-ToF products. Matt later moved to Sydney, Australia with Waters to become a Senior FSE and later a Service Supervisor for NSW region. After Waters, Matt joined Sciex as a Senior FSE.

Michael R. Johnson

Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. Michael has 25 years of experience servicing various scientific instruments and 15 years servicing SCIEX products including:

Electrospray Ionization (ESI) Mass Spectrometers:

Shweta Verma

Shweta received her B.S in Biotechnology from Worcester State University in 2005. She has 11 years of Analytical Chemistry experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Along with Mass Spectrometry, she has method development experience on gas chromatography and fiber optics detected dissolution.

Marcel J. Westdijk

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts

Marcel has 15 plus years of experience in managing, designing and conducting technical training on TripleQuad and QTOF instrumentation for SCIEX and close to 20 years of service experience on LC/MS instrumentation. Previous professional experience include field service support of AAS, FIA, ICP-AES; and field project management/service support of scientific instrumentation used in geo-engineering and hydraulics research. Marcel’s background is Electronics Engineering.


Stephane Gallavardin

DARMSTADT, Germany

Stephane has obtained his PhD at the Technical University of Munich (Germany) in Environmental Chemistry. He has overall 15 years of experience in mass spectrometry. He worked 10 years in R&D at the development of mass spectrometer prototypes (inlet, ionization sources, ToF and Ion-Trap techniques) in academics. He deployed and operated mass spectrometer prototypes in the context of environmental sciences in laboratory and field measurement campaigns. He joined Sciex in September 2013 as Technical Trainer at the Darmstadt Training Facility.

Pohchuan Thiak

SINGAPORE CITY, Singapore

Poh Chuan received his Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Singapore. He has over 14 years of experience working in the Mass spectrometry service and support and 4 years working in the Sciex Manufacturing facilities as technical Manager. Currently, he is working as Field Learning and Development Manager in the APAC training Center.

Beth DiTondo

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts

Beth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has over 20 years’ experience in HPLC and Mass Spectrometry Applications Support. Most of those years were spent providing field support and training for Mass Spectrometer instruments including MALDI-TOF/TOF instruments and Triple TOF instruments and related software products. Most recently she managed in-house training activities for North America which included creating content and conducting training classes for all SCIEX mass spectrometers.


Steve Taylor

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts

Steve received his PhD in Complex Mixture Analysis using Multiple Hyphenated Chromatographic and Spectroscopic Techniques from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK co-authoring 18 peer reviewed papers in the process. Steve spent the first half of his career working for the two largest Pharmaceutical companies in the UK in various analytical chemistry roles eventually becoming Head of the Structure Purity Group at AstraZeneca. Steve then switched tack to the MS provider business working for Waters (Micromass), Thermo and finally SCIEX in roles as lab manager, sales specialist in pharma and biopharma, R&D and now as sales training manager.
